Occupation Day at Marnix College

Sep 1, 2020

Last week, I was a guest speaker at the Marnix College Occupation Day for the first time. I like this kind of volunteer work because it is not a job but a PASSION.

All invited professionals had an opportunity to contribute to the future of these children. It was a pleasant day where both I and the students could enjoy. I think I was able to explain my profession to about 6-7 classes with 25 students per class in one morning. The students have now certainly been able to get a better idea of my work and the practical part of it. Furthermore, I also talked about Chichi, not to forget my own values and standards and what life in Curaçao has been like for me as an entrepreneur for myself since 2008. But also nowadays with COVID-19.

This school year these students will make a choice for their further education, which is why this Occupation Day is organized every year. After this, they can still think about their choice at home and during the school year.

God bless their future path and our island Curaçao.

Yours Serena
