I’ve been drawing ever since I could hold a pencil. I was always doodling, it was my way of expressing myself without words. That’s when I realized it’a something I am good at. Fast forward to today, I’m turning my creativity into my job—I am an illustrator, graphic designer and I make things from wood.
I draw inspiration from the things around me, especially from nature. Curaçao often finds its way into my artwork- I love painting birds, flowers, and cacti but I’m always experimenting with new things!
At first I took over the dinner table for my projects, but I’ve since created my own cozy painting corner. I love immersing myself in documentaries or tuning into podcasts while I paint.
It’s always a great feeling handing in my Chichi’s, knowing that they will eventually find a place in someone’s home. As an artist, the ultimate satisfaction comes from making others happy through my art.
Fun fact— I’m hooked on documentaries, especially those delving into history and criminal psychology. There’s just something endlessly fascinating to me about understanding the human mind and behavior. I even got my degree in sociology and criminology, but as it turns out, my heart just belongs to art!
