A Limited Edition Read

In 2015 Chichi® was featured in a limited edition German booklet for National Geographic named ‘Das Erbe unserer Welt’ (Heritage of our World), this edition was dedicated to Audrey Hepburn. The title of the article was ‘Art of the Dutch Caribbean Islands’ and Chichi® was featured with Yubi Kirindongo. Serena chose a Shawawa-Chichi® (with hair rollers) to represent her work.

Creating a Platform

On June 1st Serena’s Art Factory decided to shine more light on their painters, and make it easier for the customers to identify who painted their Chichi®. To make this possible they came up with the #chichipainter, this would be a small number that will be placed at the bottom of each product from Serena’s Art Factory. After a training period of six months, the painters could officially get their own number.

Each painter has their own beautiful story, which we share on our website and social media platforms. This ways the customers can read about the love and passion these painters have for their art, and the positive impact it has had on their lives.

These numbers were placed to empower the painters, and give them the recognition they deserve for all their hard work. Other than just reading about the painters, customers can also interact and feedback with the painters online, which they love very much. You can always find the painters by searching ‘Chichi painter’ in Google.
