Highlights 2022
Every year is a year to remember. Today I would like to highlight the past year 2022 of Chichi® Curaçao. We are looking back on a successful year wherein we finished our Crowdfunding XXXL Chichi® with 70% of our target. We have painted more than 155 illustrations during the crowdfunding. We have visited 13 locations, where we held live painting sessions. At every location we were welcomed with open arms and met great new people. Together we showed the world how beautiful Curaçao is. Due to the success of the crowdfunding we were able to train and hire new painters and production members:
7 Painters successfully finished their training
24 Painters are in training with payment
10 Production members were hired
We are very proud and thankful of this accomplishment and would like to thank all our sponsors for making this possible!!
Another highlight of the year 2022 is our first white XXXL Chichi® at Sandals® Royal Curaçao. This Chichi® is an custom made order especially designed for the Resort Hotel. Our client was inspired by the Royal Delft Blue porcelain to outline their brand. Serena designed this with the beauty of Curaçao like cactus, beach, kunuku houses, dolphins and tropical flowers painted with cobalt blue to represent our Dutch Caribbean roots. She is now proudly welcoming all Sandals® Royal Curaçao guests with open arms to the Resort Hotel.
And we finished the year with one more climax; our newest Bronze collection. This newest edition of Small Bronze Chichi® has the Handelskade engraved in the front and among other things a dolphin and flamingo in the back. The engravings are made by Serena herself. This bronze Chichi weighs about 470 grams and is 6 cm heigh. If that is not exciting enough we also made a Bronze Keychain for the first time! This Chichi® keychain is 3 cm heigh and weighs 44 grams. This piece of Art will never leave your side. Both models are made by Serena, the bronze casting was done in Germany. We have a limited stock in these and the first ones are already sold!
Furthermore we are very happy to see our Tourism is back on track after the pandemic, we love spending time again with all our visitors and tell them the story of Chichi and show them how it is made. We would like to thank everybody who visited us and shared our love for Curaçao.
